Top Ten Tuesday ~ 2015 Debuts

Top Ten Tuesday is an awesome weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish where each week they post a new Top Ten list on various bookish things.

Guys, I can't possibly reduce this list to ten debuts.
I narrowed from 71 debut options down to 15.

The Wrong Side of Right by Jenn Marie Thorne | A Wicked Thing by Rhiannon Thomas | Under A Painted Sky by Stacey Lee | Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard | An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir | The Witch Hunter by Virginia Boecker | The Storyspinner by Becky Wallace | The Night We Said Yes by Lauren Gibaldi | City of Savages by Lee Kelly | Becoming Jinn by Lori Goldstein | The Sin Eater's Daughter by Melinda Salisbury | The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh | After Hours by Claire Kennedy | Hello, I Love You by Katie M. Stout | Velvet by Temple West

I am so excited for all of these!! I've gotten to know some of these authors, and they are AMAZING. Especially Lori, Temple, Stacey, Lauren, and Lee! I've read and loved Red Queen. I'm currently reading City of Savages, and it is phenomenal. These debuts are wonderful so far!

Which debuts are you waiting for?

  3. These are some fantabulous picks, Rach! RED QUEEN IS SO FREAKING AMAZING YESSS AND THAT ENDING WAS LIKE WOAAAAAAH. I can't wait for everyone else in the world to read that. I'm curious about The Night We Said Yes! I have a copy of it on my Kindle right now and I must refrain myself from picking it up because I firstly have to tackle the crazy TBR books that must be reviewed before school starts bluurgh.

    Awesome list there, Rach! <33

    1. The designers did a fantastic job with the cover. Really captures the mood of the story and setting (although there are definitely humorous bits, I promise!)

  11. All of these covers in one place is eye-gasmic. Also, I clicked on Velvet b/c I didn't know what it was and read the "hot vampire bodyguards" description on goodreads and was immediately sold. This goes to show you were my priorities are... tehe. Great list, Rachel. Also, I was totally commenting on your blog the same time you were commenting on mine. #greattiming

  15. I haven't looked much into debut authors publishing books this year, so I haven't heard of many of these books. I have, however, heard a lot about Red Queen and An Ember in the Ashes. They both seem like amazing books. Red Queen doesn't sound like a book that I would normally read, but this year I want to expand my reading horizons, so I'm willing to try it. And now that I've looked up the blurbs of some of the books on your list, I really want to read The Storyspinner and Under a Painted Sky. The cover for Under a Painted Sky is gorgeous.

  18. I NEED these books. Yes, basically all of them. Our lists have a lot of common debuts! And.. I cheated too! I think I have 21... narrowed down from a whole hell of a lot more ;) And seeing your list makes me realize there were a few I wanted to add! I wasn't sure if The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh WAS a debut, because she had another book listed on Goodreads, so I didn't put it on, but I mean, it SHOULD be on my list! Well, I am drooling, and must go away now.
