ALAMW Day 2 Recap

I attended the American Library Association Mid-Winter (ALAMW) conference in Boston from January 8th-11th. It was my first big book conference, and I can honestly say it will forever be a highlight of my bookish/blogging experience.

I already recapped Day 1, so here is a recap of Day 2!

Magic and Mayhem Tour: Leigh Bardugo Came to PA!

Leigh Bardugo came to Pennsylvania last wednesday, and I'm so happy I got to meet her! Thanks so much to Macmillan for planning a tour stop in PA. I was going to record the Q&A session, but I was just in awe of Leigh and seeing her in real life, so sadly I forgot...

Queen of Shadows Tour Recap

As if you don't already know, Sarah J Maas is my all-time favorite author. I adore her books, and you really don't want to know how many times I've reread her books... On Sunday, September 6th I went to her Queen of Shadows tour stop in Bensalem and had such a great time.

I drove up with Brittany from Please Feed The Bookworm (thank you hun <3), and we got there at 5 PM when the event was supposed to start. There were so many people there, at least 150. I'm just so happy that Sarah's getting this much attention. Her series has grown so much! I remember reading Throne of Glass and then having to wait another year for each subsequent book. *gets teary-eyed*

Bookitcon Recap

On Sunday, August 9th, I went to a book event called Bookitcon hosted by Nori @ Read Write Love in Moorestown, New Jersey. There were around 20 authors there, and I had so much fun!

I got a VIP ticket, so I got to enter the signing place a bit early. Honestly, I was there more for the company than the books! Some of my 2016 debut #FAC16 author friends (Isabel Bandeira, Ami Allen-Vath, and Sarah Glenn Marsh) as well as two Meet the Newbies authors (Kathryn Holmes and Trisha Leaver) were there, so it was wonderful to meet them all! Lots of hugs and chatting ensued. I went around and talked with all the authors in the room for maybe two hours. I can talk a lot... I asked them all what they were reading, and then just took the conversation to their books etc. It's so exciting and fun to have the chance to interact with authors in this way.

Blog Event Recap ~ Mary E. Pearson & Marie Rutkoski

I went to a wonderful book event to see one of my most favorite authors Mary E. Pearson and the lovely Marie Rutkoski!! I've been anxious to meet Mary for so long, and we talk on Twitter quite often, so imagine my surprise and excitement when I discovered she'd be signing in San Diego right near where I was staying for vacation. It was probably the best coincidence ever.

A Court of Thorns and Roses Tour Launch + Recap

On Tuesday, May 5th I went to Sarah J Maas' A Court of Thorns and Roses release day tour launch! As you may already know, I am a HUGE Sarah J Maas fan. I wouldn't dream of missing her release day launch.

Unfortunately two plans fell through for me to go to the event, but my superhero and blogger friend Kim from The Midnight Garden was the sweetest and gave me a ride.

We hit some traffic on the way there, but we got to see the end of Jamie's (from The Perpetual Page-Turner) moderation of the Q&A with Sarah J Maas. There was a huge turnout! Tons of fangirlish teenage girls were there as were many adults and bloggers I knew/recognized. I gave Damaris from Good Choice Reading a huge hug!

AND I got three Sarah hugs that night, and she recognized me AGAIN. And I've only met her three times. She's so sweet and awesome and I'm touched that she remembered me.

Apollycon Recap

On Sunday, February 28th, I went to Apollycon which was in Philly! The event celebrated the release of Jennifer L. Armentrout's "The Return" with the help of 20 other authors (included Sarah J Maas and Alexandra Bracken!!) Spencer Hill Press (and specifically Damaris) organized the event. They did a superb job. It was so much fun; I met lots of great authors, got books signed, and saw lots of familiar bloggers and friends alike!

Heir of Fire Book Tour Event

This post is very late, better late than never though!!

As you may know, I am an avid Throne of Glass fan. I have been for roughly a year now :D I was ecstatic when I found out that Sarah J Maas was coming to a town close by for her Heir of Fire Book Tour. I was fortunate enough to go!! It was also my first bookish event!
