Cover Reveal ~ Opposition

Today the cover of Lux #5Opposition by Jennifer L. Armentrout was revealed!

Here's the official blurb:

Katy knows the world changed the night the Luxen came.

She can't believe Daemon welcomed his race or stood by as his kind threatened to obliterate every last human and hybrid on Earth. But the lines between good and bad have blurred, and love has become an emotion that could destroy her—could destroy them all.

Daemon will do anything to save those he loves, even if it means betrayal.

They must team with an unlikely enemy if there is any chance of surviving the invasion. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell friend from foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything— even what they cherish most—to ensure the survival of their friends…and mankind.

War has come to Earth. And no matter the outcome, the future will never be the same for those left standing.

Waiting on Wednesday (3) ~ Heir of Fire

"Waiting On" Wednesday is an awesome meme created by Breaking The Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week's "Can't Wait For" unreleased book is Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas which comes out September 2nd, 2014!

Throne of Glass is my third favorite series. It's action-packed, well written, exciting, romantic, and has awesome characters set in a great fantasy world. After that cliffhanger-y Crown of Midnight, I am so anxious to get my hands on book #3, Heir of Fire.

"Lost and broken, Celaena Sardothien's only thought is to avenge the savage death of her dearest friend: as the King of Adarlan's Assassin, she is bound to serve this tyrant, but he will pay for what he did. Any hope Celaena has of destroying the king lies in answers to be found in Wendlyn.

Sacrificing his future, Chaol, the Captain of the King's Guard, has sent Celaena there to protect her, but her darkest demons lay in that same place. If she can overcome them, she will be Adarlan's biggest threat - and his own toughest enemy.

While Celaena learns of her true destiny, and the eyes of Erilea are on Wendlyn, a brutal and beastly force is preparing to take to the skies. Will Celaena find the strength not only to win her own battles, but to fight a war that could pit her loyalties to her own people against those she has grown to love?"

The cover reveal is tomorrow by the way!! :)

Fire With Fire by Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian (Burn For Burn #2)

Fire With Fire (Burn For Burn #2)

Page Length: 528 Pages

Rating: 4 Stars

"Lillia, Kat, and Mary had the perfect plan. Work together in secret to take down the people who wronged them. But things didn’t exactly go the way they’d hoped at the Homecoming Dance.

Not even close.

For now, it looks like they got away with it. All they have to do is move on and pick up the pieces, forget there ever was a pact. But it’s not easy, not when Reeve is still a total jerk and Rennie’s meaner than she ever was before.

And then there’s sweet little Mary…she knows there’s something seriously wrong with her. If she can’t control her anger, she’s sure that someone will get hurt even worse than Reeve was. Mary understands now that it’s not just that Reeve bullied her—it’s that he made her love him.

Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth, burn for a burn. A broken heart for a broken heart. The girls are up to the task. They’ll make Reeve fall in love with Lillia and then they will crush him. It’s the only way he’ll learn.

It seems once a fire is lit, the only thing you can do is let it burn..."

This sequel has far surpassed my love of the first book! It was more exciting, better written, and just fanfreakingtastic. Here are my thoughts on Fire With Fire.

This book was much more enjoyable than the first book. We jump right into things, no need for intros and such. I loved every second of this book!

I thought that Lillia developed a lot as a character in this book. We saw her personality shine through for once. She wasn't the robotic, unfeeling person she appeared to be in the first book.

Kat's character weakened in this book in my opinion. I liked her feistiness in the first book. This book she spent plotting, cursing, partaking in vices, or lusting after Ricky. Boring!

Mary went psycho in this book. She's unstable, and I had no idea what was going on in her POV.

I thought that the 3 POV style didn't work out well in this book. Lillia's narrative dominated by far. Kat's and Mary's narratives weren't that necessary in this book. Lillia's POV was the best while Kat and Mary rivaled to be less boring than the other. I didn't see the point of half of the events that took place in Mary's and Kat's POVs.

This book was more fast-paced and fun. The romance in this book was adorable. I totally ship these two people (yup, not gonna say who!) There were some awesome parties, lots of drama, and full-out revenging. What more could I want?

Well this book truly ended with a bang. Now I must wait forever for the final book :(
